Shruti (she/her) describes herself as a classic, old-fashioned butch lesbian who believes loving a woman is the most glorious gift she could have got. Shruti is popular for her Instagram handle @pawlyamorous that declares 'queer is my normal' and is filled with sexy posts with her girlfriend. Shruti has been a queer-feminist activist for two decades and believes in the power of collectivising to disrupt inequality.
Shruti is also known as Dr. Shruti Chakravarty for her PhD on Queer Intimacies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has an independent therapeutic practice based in Mumbai and is Chief Advisor at the Mariwala Health Initiative. She has co-authored Queer Affirmative Counselling Practice (QACP): A Resource Book for Mental Health Practitioners in India and is faculty of the QACP course.
